This web site is the brain child of a local resident. I was looking for services in the village and couldn't find one site to cover everything.

I have spent a year importing Japanese pinball machines called Pachinko. I decided I needed to advertise them and found that the cost to small businesses to be astronomical. I have now spent several thousand pounds on newspaper advertising and radio adverts. I found the free 'word of mouth' and local web pages the best way to spread the word of my product. I have taken the decision to close my hobby business since a promotion at work and the arrival of our new (5th) child. I thought I could look at ways to help the community and local business. I secured the web domain name www.cottenham.info and the rest grew from there.

The financial side of the web page is run to be self funding from advertising revenue. It is free to access. Businesses are asked to pay a small amount for a years adverts however there will also be links for any business or group free of charge.

The money generated will be used for paying for the costs of running the site.
I am not taking any profit from this venture. Should the web become more than self funding then it is intended that surplus money will be provided in supporting other Village events and groups.
